Best Time to Visit Ajax, ON

Winters get extremely cold in Ajax, so consider avoiding a vacation to this town between November and February. While you'll get great hotel prices and see far fewer crowds, you won't get to enjoy as many of the town's amenities. Plus, who wants to explore a new place while wrapped in six-inch-thick coats, scarves, gloves, and boots? The only exception is the Winterfest, which is a snow festival that takes place in late February. There are snow sculpture contests, snowshoeing, live musical entertainment, snow painting, and other exciting activities.

Most people choose to visit Ajax during the summer because of the warm weather, but hotel prices skyrocket during this time. However, you might want to risk the increased expenses if you're interested in the famous Trailfest. In late June, participants hop on their bicycles and take long tours of the area's most beautiful nature trails. Just make sure to get into cycling shape before you arrive.

Autumn can prove gorgeous in Ajax thanks to the abundant fall color. In October, you might want to attend Pumpkinville, which celebrates all the things people love about fall, from carving pumpkins to touring haunted houses. Plus, you'll enjoy great food, delicious drinks, and live entertainment.
