The Morrow center point is approximately the area of The National Archives Atlanta and 6 miles southeast of Atlanta Airport.
The best time to head to Morrow, Georgia, is during the late spring and early summer. The temperature and humidity remain at comfortable levels during this time, providing ample opportunities to explore the charming downtown area or visit one of several parks and wildlife areas. Each June, Morrow celebrates Freedom Fest, which is an annual event that celebrates freedom from oppression. This event brings spectators from around the area for spectacular live music, food vendors, and wholesome family activities. Hotels aren't always busy during this time because the 6,900 students from Clayton State University head home for the summer. Nevertheless, it's still important to book early to get the best rate possible and the room of your choice.
During the fall, the town becomes vibrant with the beginning of the fall semester. This effectively doubles the size of the town, and the energetic student body breathes new life into Morrow. Temperatures in the autumn are especially comfortable, as the heat and humidity from the summer start to die down, bringing highs in the 80s and lows in the 60s. Collegiate and professional football and basketball are a huge draw during this time, making advance hotel reservations essential, especially if there's a rivalry game or an Atlanta Falcons game.
In the winter, Morrow's temperatures lower dramatically. While Morrow typically gets through winter without any snow, it's always a possibility. Most of this season is dry, yet temperatures don't usually go above the mid-50s. If you love skiing or snowboarding, Snow Mountain at Stone Mountain Park provides some great slopes for the novice and intermediate sportsman. Hotel bookings are less frequent during this time, so supply and demand are in your favor, and you may be able to score a great room at a discounted price.
The spring is the season of rebirth, and it's a beautiful time to see the foliage of the area spring back into life. Nearby areas such as International Park and the Newman Wetlands Center are the perfect venues to see this transition. Unlike many other locations in the South, Morrow sees the least amount of rainfall during the spring, allowing you to explore these areas without getting drenched. Accommodation isn't in high demand during this season, and if you're vigilant, you could easily score a great deal with one of the local hotels.
To save even more money on your travels, finding a hotel with a discount is in your best interest. For the best rates, try the Quality Inn & Suites Southlake. Whether you're a AAA member, part of the AARP, or a senior, the hotel has substantial discounts to give you the best value for your stay. If you want to take your experience to the next level, many of these rooms also have an available upgrade that includes a whirlpool tub. This beautiful hotel is just off I-75 in downtown Morrow and provides features such as free gated parking, free breakfast, free food and beverages every day at 5:30 p.m., an indoor-outdoor pool with a hot tub, free soda and popcorn from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. daily, and a fitness center. There you'll find free Wi-Fi, a phone with free local and long distance calls, an iron and ironing board, LCD television, microwave, and refrigerator. When you wake up refreshed the next morning, you'll be near some of the best places to explore, including dining, shopping, and many of Morrow's and downtown Atlanta's top attractions.
Although Morrow may not seem like it has a ton to do because of its size, don't let it deceive you. If you're a history buff, you can't afford to miss the Georgia Archives and the National Archives of Atlanta, both located within the city limits of Morrow. These two facilities house an impressive collection of textual documents, as well as maps, microfilm, photographs, and architectural drawings. With such a massive collection, even the biggest history fanatic could spend years poring over everything on display.
If you're more into music than history, Morrow still has options for you. Head over to Spivey Hall, located on the campus of Clayton State University, and soak in some of the best jazz and classical music you've ever heard. This venue showcases some of the brightest and burgeoning talent from the University, as well as some of the most well-known and established artists from around the country and globe.
Exploring Morrow is a fun activity, and if you think you've done it all, you can always take the short ride to Atlanta and continue your tour of the area. Just remember to book a hotel that fits your needs for an experience you'll remember for a lifetime.

I live in the city of Morrow. I love the convenience of shopping, eateries and feeling of safety.
I am an avid walker and felt safe traveling on foot. There was a Burlington's, TJ MAXX, IHOP, Cracker Barrell and an AMC 24 movie theater within walking distance. I appreciated the fact that the parking lots of the hotel was gated and key controlled after a certain hour at night. I really like the fact that the hotel is PET friendly.
The little time spent riding around, the friendliness of the people was exceptional.
