The area of Fullerton I visited is a bit iffy. I wouldn't let my grandma push my kid in a stroller without a can of mace or a gun.
Fullerton is a nice city, it is near a lot of attractions and the freeways are close so you can go in any direction you need to and be there fast. Also the police are always in patrolling the streets which keeps them safe.
