The best time to visit Bedford, and the Boston area in general, is from June to October. Although summer ushers in the tourist crowd and expensive hotel rates, you can't beat the pleasant weather. Boston also hosts many summer events, including Boston Pride, Cambridge Arts River Festival, Boston Comic Con, and Boston Film Festival.
Bedford experiences beautiful yet chilly springs, so be sure to pack extra clothing layers if you're visiting from March through May. It's no secret that the Boston area has plenty of snow from November through February. While you'll need to bundle up against the frigid temperatures, you can enjoy a crowd-free walk along the Freedom Trail and magical events like the Boston Christmas Festival and the Boston Tea Party Reenactment.
