Everyone we met in the town was friendly and welcoming
As a proud local, I was thrilled to discover the Comfort Inn in Connellsville. Nestled right on the Youghiogheny River, it offers a peaceful retreat with clean rooms, comfy beds, and a friendly staff. We spent our mornings sipping coffee at Coffee at Crawford, just a short walk from the hotel. Their locally roasted beans and cozy atmosphere made it the perfect start to our day. Afternoons were filled with adventure. My son and his cousins enjoyed biking along the Great Allegheny Passage trail, which is conveniently located nearby. They even had the chance to try out the hotel's kayaks, adding a splash of fun to our stay. Evenings were spent relaxing at Yough River Brewing Co., located just a mile from the hotel. With a 12-tap beer system, local ciders, and a full bar featuring Pennsylvania-made liquors, it's a great spot to unwind. They also host food trucks and live music, adding to the lively atmosphere. The hotel's Adirondack chairs along the river provided a perfect spot to relax and enjoy the scenery. And the new bridge connecting the east and west sides of town offers a scenic walk with beautiful views of the river. I grew up in C'ville on Oglevee Lane but my family moved when I was in college. We were in town for my uncle's 100th birthday celebration at the Pavilion at Pleasant Valley Golf Club. Afterward we stopped at Bud Murphy's for pizza & beer. Leaving the next morning, we took West Crawford Ave to Oglevee Lane to drive down “memory lane” on our way back to Florida. Many things in Connellsville had changed - Comfort Inn was one of the best things.
