When should I visit Glendale, CO?
Glendale has a partially dry climate with four distinct seasons. Most of the precipitation falls between April and August, and it does receive several inches of snowfall each month during the winter. Since it sits close to the foot of the Rocky Mountains, this region experiences drastic and sudden changes in its weather, which can mean an unexpected change of plans. It's helpful to bring plenty of layers when you visit the area to make sure you stay comfortable. If you plan to spend time outdoors, you may want to visit during the spring or fall seasons. The summer brings warm to hot temperatures and occasional afternoon thunderstorms.
Glendale hosts one major event each year, which is a large fireworks show on July 4. More than 50,000 visitors typically come for the show, which can drastically impact hotel prices. Happenings in Denver can also cause hotel prices to spike in the neighboring city. Some of the largest events in Denver include the Colorado State Fair in August, the Martin Luther King Jr. Parade in January, and the National Finals Rodeo in December. Denver is also home to more than 30 higher education institutions, so commencement ceremonies and major sporting events can cause hotel rate increases in Glendale.
