A great detour on our Spanish journey, Toledo is a hilltop city known for being the first capital of Spain. During the day the old town comes alive with throngs of tourists who arrive by bus or train. At night, however, the town is empty and you will have the restaurant of your choice to yourself. We toured the two main attractions: the Cathedral and the Santa Cruz Museum and wandered the cobblestone streets admiring the architecture. Since it is only an hour from Barcelona, I definitely recommend visiting this city just for the views.
After walking around the city, there is always an opportunity to stop and rest in one of the cheap hotels like Hostal Esperanza, MartÃn, Puerta Bisagra. All of them have cozy rooms that are equipped with climate control, bathroom and hair dryers. Polite employees can be expected even from cheap Toledo hotels. Most of them will try to give you the best experience possible throughout your stay giving you superb service 24 hours per day. A cheap hotel doesn't differ that much from a luxurious one in terms of quality in Toledo. You will be served breakfast in a cafe, and there are also plenty of drinks and snacks served on a buffet. The personnel can advise you on finding nice restaurants in Toledo and reserve a table for you. You will always have opportunity to relax in the lounge hall of the hotels in Toledo.
Relaxing in style is not a problem in the city. The luxury hotels in Toledo that offer great and exquisite service include: Hotel Parador de Toledo, Eurostars Palacio Buenavista and others. The undoubted advantages of these Toledo hotels are that it is possible to call pretty much everywhere within the hotel: the pool, conveniences, rooms and suites, for breakfast, room service. The price and quality is of the highest standards and you will leave the city more pleased from your stay. These hotels in Toledo are popular among couples and families, business travelers as there are business centers, babysitting services on request, and also hydro massage bathtubs, Spa centers, saunas, massage salons.
If you are in the city, boutique Toledo hotels will not disappoint you. The Fontecruz Toledo Hotel is an example of a great boutique hotel. It's an upscale hotel in a former royal residence which is 4 minutes' walk from the Toledo Cathedral and 9 minutes' walk from the Alcazar of Toledo. There are antique furnishings and handmade carpets throughout the building. The suites and rooms are elegant and offer free Wi-Fi, flat screen TVs and minibars. Suites will also have sitting areas and separate living rooms. Room service is also available. Buffet breakfast is available but for a surcharge. There is a refined regional restaurant and bar, a gym and spa with Roman ruins. Parking is free in this hotel. Another boutique hotel you can check out is the Rusticae Hotel Vila Nazules.
