An easy drive from the airport just off Interstate 71, the Great Lakes Science Center is situated between the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and the new Browns Stadium in Cleveland, Ohio. The center's OMNIMAX® dome has become a landmark in the area where visitors are entranced by larger than life videos complimented by 11,000 watts of digital sound that make the experience one to never forget. Additionally, the 250,000 square feet facility hosts over than 400 hands-on exhibits as well as daily educational demonstrations in science, technology, and environmental topics notorious to the Great Lakes area.Children seven years and younger can romp with polymers in the Polymer Funhouse. Everyone is welcome to explore and learn from the 25 computer stations and the region's largest video wall in the Great Lakes Situation Room. There are 90 hands-on exhibits as part of the Great Lakes Environment Floor on topics that range from the Great Lakes “Monsters” to The Sick Earth. Installed in 2006, the wind turbine shows ways to reduce the world's environmental impact, and the solar array that was introduced in 2007 is popular among visitors of all ages.
