The Taylor center is about 11 miles east of Dell Diamond and 12 miles east of Old Settlers Park.
The prospect of a summer getaway is often alluring, but Taylor is best avoided in mid-year. Like many Texan cities, Taylor experiences hot, humid conditions during the summer months. Temperatures often are in the mid- to high 90s from June to August, but the steamy conditions often make it feel even hotter. Even Texan natives struggle during the summer months, so out-of-towners should definitely steer clear.
Taylor's weather is much more favorable during spring and fall. The humidity drops along with the temperature during both these seasons. Daytime temperatures usually sit in the 70s and 80s from March to May and September to November, so these months are ideal for sightseeing in Taylor.
Winter can also be a good choice, as this season is much milder than in other parts of the nation. Hotel rates can jump during the festive season, though, so wait until after the New Year to save cash.

Below are reviews of the city of Taylor, TX from an actual visitor's perspective.
It's my hometown. Quaint!
A wonderful visit. The Old Taylor High School was decorated for Halloween and was cute! The bookstore on main was great fun. It was there we learned about Cart which was a fabulous ride to our hotel for only $2 each. The Soap Shop on main was really cute with more than Soap.
The city was great fun. Everyone was so friendly. We arrived by train. I cannot say enough about the Soap Shop and Mrvosa Bookstore. The Cart service was fabulous. I recommend a visit to Taylor.
Lots of places to eat, shop, and plenty of entertainment in a small town.
