I have stayed at this property when it was a Shilo, with a full restaurant and bar and cigar lounge. Now there are none of these. We should have done better research to see if the restaurant was still open. Hotel was reasonably clean, but minimally outfitted.

So, for the price you would expect more. It is an old building that needs a little love and that would be fine except that things that should work, don't. The iron and ironing board, for example. Also, you must ask for a warm blanket, not provided. You will need to ask for more towels. And the most frustrating, if you are on the Shilo website, which they book through, they advertise a pool and restaurant available, which neither were. They need to update their web info! I will say that the room size is great, I like the double sink setup, one in bathroom, one outside of it, large mirrors and some cool decor that is old school cool. But, as I said, it needs some love.

No pool no hot tub No restaurant but there was nothing staying any of that until we arrived. We could have gotten a cheaper hotel if we knew these amenities were no longer included.
