Ridgefield Park is one of only four villages in New Jersey and was formed in 1892, though it was settled over two-hundred years earlier. It's a small, quiet community of only around 13,000 residents, and it is an enclave of old-time, small-town America within sight of the country's largest metropolis. Ridgefield Park is often characterized as stepping back into the 1950s. In fact, Ridgefield Park was the childhood home of one of the most archetypical 50's TV father figures, Ozzie Nelson of "The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet."
Ridgefield Park is known for its vintage-style homes and shops, with a bustling main street and a small, four-aisle supermarket. Around 60-percent of all homes in the village are over 100 years old.
