"Snowy Mountain Scenic Highway is Beautiful!"
Score
4.0 / 5
Although the town of Rawlins is small, it has a big heart. The people and the guides at the museums and the Old Western Prison were friendly, helpful and enjoyable. The lady at the visitors center went out of her way to show us places to visit. In fact, she told us about the Snowy Mountain Scenic Highway that turned out to be just beautiful. Plus, we avoided the construction on I-80!

"Windy, Wild, Wyoming City"
Score
5.0 / 5
We felt the City of Rawlins was such a nice, friendly, and positive place to help us feel welcome. The folks at the service station, nearby Subway Sandwich Restaurant, and the across the highway at Arbys was all in all very positive and accomodating!
Thanks to them our stay was simply super! We were most fortunate to have had a wonderful day at the very popular "Martin's Cove" Historic Center north of Rawlins 50 miles. What wonderful weather we had Tuesday, September 9th- no wind an a perfect 70-75° F. The weather all day surely did exceed our expectations! Yes, we did have the wonderful, windy, wild, Wyoming drive from Utah on Sept. 8th, and back on the 10th. All in all, three wonderful days!
