The Langley center is approximately 2 miles southwest of Downtown Langley and 8 miles northwest of Downtown Mukilteo.
Langley is a lovely city to visit all year round. The months between late March and late October have the most comfortable weather for exploring the island. The most popular month for tourism is July, when the weather is at its warmest. Of course, this means that the hotels are at their busiest and most expensive. You can get slightly better deals if you travel a little earlier or later, like in June or August, without missing out on the summer sun. You will still pay a little more than if you traveled earlier or later, but less than if you visited in July.
The least popular, and thus least expensive, month for travel is November. The weather turns very cold after the end of October, however, so traveling to Langley this late in the year isn't recommended unless you're comfortable with low temperatures and know how to dress for freezing weather conditions.
If you want to balance good weather with lower accommodation costs, consider traveling between March and May or between September and October. Hotel prices tend to be lower at these times but you can still enjoy the scenery without freezing.

The Best Western Cascadia Inn offers good rates for thrifty travelers. It's located in Everett, a short drive from the Mukilteo terminal where you'll pick up the ferry to Langley. Rates are low, especially during the off-season, but the facilities are very good. Rooms come with high-speed internet, microwaves, fridges, coffee makers, irons, and hair dryers. Rates also include a complimentary full breakfast. There are fitness facilities at the hotel and an outdoor pool, depending on the season.
The downtown location puts you within easy reach of many mainland attractions, including the train station. A shuttle service makes getting around even easier. Guests at the Cascadia often mention the friendly staff and great service.
Langley is famous for its wildlife. People come from miles around to view rare and beautiful species, especially the orcas that are sighted off the island's coast and the bald eagles that live on the island. Lovers of food and drink will appreciate the many food and wine tours offered. Don't forget to stop at the farmer's market for fresh local produce and tasty artisan foods. You can see many arts and crafts being created on-site, including glass-blowing at the Hellebore Glass Studio.
The city is home to a number of events, including the Welcome the Whales festival which occurs in April. There's also the annual Mystery Weekend, where visitors and residents can team up to solve a thrilling mystery adventure. The Whidbey Island Area Fair, held every July, is a longstanding tradition that actually predates the founding of the city itself. Another big event is the Djangofest NW Music Festival, a five-day festival celebrating Django Reinhardt's jazz. Whenever you visit Langley, there will be something exciting to see.
