Phoenix Muni, as it is known, hosts a variety of baseball activities, including college and men's baseball tournaments, and Little League. It is used, too, as a training center for the Arizona Diamondbacks. The stadium, operated by the City of Phoenix, also hosts concerts and graduations. The parking lot is multi-purpose as it has been used for such activities as basketball tournaments, and auto and dog shows.
The stadium has a distinctive accordion roof and was the first stadium to have air conditioning through a floor system. The stadium has concession stands for hungry fans as well as a picnic area for fans who bring their own lunches.
