Brewery and dinner was nice.
It's a lovely little town in a beautiful setting between the Columbia River and Mt Hood. Many excellent wineries in the general area, together with the infamous "Fruit Loop", make it where there's always something to do.
Hood River is a quaint town with good restaurants. Very few chain businesses which imho is a plus!

The room was clean and comfortable. Hood River is breathtaking. River views, mountain views, great park by the river, and great restaurants. Great hiking and biking trails as well.
For those who aren't merely visiting family and seeing Hood River for what it can offer you'll have four seasons of activities: year round hiking, skiing and other snowy activities, known for kite surfing and wind sailing, fishing. The town has many great eateries for all occasions, from casual to formal, many wineries are showcased as are breweries. Fun shops to peruse in quaint period buildings. A beautiful town in a beautiful location. Take a day train to a nearby town to see fruit orchards, head back west on I-84 and catch a paddle wheeler for a trip up the Columbia. Lots of little nearby towns to explore too.

The views of the Columbia River Gorge and mountains are majestic. You'll see tall towering Douglas Fir Pines everywhere!
Fantastic wine tasting, food options, hiking and shopping. If you haven't tried the White Buffalo, check it out. Great wine and food, and Mary is the BEST!
The best breakfast ever at Egg River Cafe. A great bookstore with delightful arrangements of books: Waucoma Bookstore on Oak Street. Terrific steak dinner at Mesquitery & The Ashes Bar on 12th street. Mike's on Oak Street has ice cream that is a real treat.

Nice little town, did the River Cruise with the "Mayor" at the controls. Hood River has what ever you'll need for your vacation. Room 331 is a great view!
