The Broken Bow center is approximately 10 miles north of Mc Curtain Memorial Hospital and 10 miles north of Museum of the Red River.
With lush forests, sparkling lakes, and rolling hills surrounding Broken Bow, it is simply a nature lover's paradise. There's always something to do, whether you're into fishing, hiking, canoeing, or simply taking in the fresh air in a peaceful landscape.
However, if you're looking for the best time to visit, we recommend coming between September and November. In the fall, the landscape is repainted with goldens and reds, making it even more stunning. And there're plenty of events, from local Halloween festivities to Pumpkin patches and open markets on local ranches and farms. Also, the Bigfoot Festival is held on the first Friday and Saturday of October.
In the winter, the snow-capped mountains provide a stunning backdrop. Broken Bow invites its visitors to enjoy this winter wonderland by curling up next to a fireplace in nearby forest cabins, taking a winter hike around its many trails, or going winter fishing for trout.
