The scenery and of course, the shopping!
Beautiful and great shopping.
Galena is an interesting city and has grown since the last time I visited. It has become a viable destination. I am a motorcycle rider and if I still lived in the area, I would definitely make it a frequent stop for my weekend excursions.
The city offers lots of things to do. The trolley rides are a little pricey and the ghost tour is outrageously priced. Make sure to visit the shops, tour General Grants home and see Chestnut Mountain. I drove home through Galena Territory and it was very pretty. There are also some very good restaurants in the area.
