The Winter Garden center point is approximately 7 miles west of Crystal Ballroom and 7 miles northwest of Turkey Lake Park.
Winter Garden rarely ever sees freezing temperatures, making the winter months from December to February the best time to visit if you're looking for discounted hotel and tickets. High temperatures average around 70 degrees with lows in the lower 50s. Winter months tend to be drier, with more sunny days than wet days.
During December, Winter Garden kicks into holiday mode with the Light Up Winter Garden event with live music, vendors, kids activities, and more. The Winter Garden Christmas Parade is an annual tradition in the city that you don't want to miss. The Winter Garden Blues and BBQ Festival takes place in February and is home to award-winning food and hot blues music.
March and April are wonderful times to visit Winter Garden as far as the weather goes. The days are getting longer, sunnier, and the tourist crowds aren't too thick. Spring Break comes in March and leads to a spike in hotel rates, but the beaches are much busier than this landlocked city. Temperatures are perfect, with highs near 80 degrees and lows near 60.
In March, take in classical tunes produced by the Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra, along the shores of Lake Apopka. In April, set out to Spring Fever in the Garden, a massive, weekend festival celebrating all things spring. The kids will love days filled with fun yet educational activities in the Kidzone and you'll love the entertainment, street food, and plants galore.
From May through August is the area's busiest tourist season. Hotels fill quickly and attractions become packed around Memorial Day and stay that way until mid-August when school resumes. Summer days are hot and humid, with highs normally near 90 degrees and lows in the low 70s. Most of the city's rainfall occurs in summer, with near-daily thunderstorms in the afternoon.
Take part in celebrating the nation at the Winter Garden Party in the Park on July 4th. A fun-filled day starts with a parade and ends with a stunning fireworks display.
Autumn is another great time to visit Winter Garden since tourist numbers decline and temperatures drop to comfortable levels. After Labor Day through November, attractions and hotels aren't as busy and you're more likely to find great deals. Temperatures stay comfortable in the 80s for highs and the 60s and 70s for lows. Monsoon season ends, so rainy days aren't as likely.
Put your costume on and head to HalloweenFest in the downtown area. Enjoy trick-or-treating, delicious food, live entertainment, and haunted happenings. Each fall, dozens of musicians descend on the city for a weekend of frolicking fun at the Winter Garden Music Fest. Three days of live music on two stages is worth seeing.

Below are reviews of the city of Winter Garden, FL from an actual visitor's perspective.
Quiet. Traffic not overly congested. Felt safe. Good restaurants nearby.
Close to the Disney Parks.
Nice!
Great family atmosphere in the downtown area!
Room was clean, bed comfortable! staff very nice and friendly. Flamingo Crossing is a growing area, and more restaurants would be a bonus and I'm sure that's in the future plans.
Disney
Everything was within walking distance.
Family oriented
We loved strolling down Winter Garden's town filled with assorted shops of wares and eatery finds that were delicious; from inexpensive to pricey. A lovely historic town with charm and lush foliage beauty!
Did not venture out beyond Disney property and hotel area. I liked having Walgreens right across the street and the new Target will be nice
We are really not in Winter Garden. we are probably 12-15 miles from the charming downtown area of Winter Garden. Howevever, no complaints since we are better location. Only 6 miles from Celebration, FL (very nice to walk and eat); and Disney. We to Disney Springs(4 miles away from hotel) to eat and watch free live music. It is like being in Epcot without paying. Lots of great food, chocalates, and coffee.
Very nice and everything is close.
