I usually get a quality night at tru by Hilton hotels. This one fell short. The hallway carpets were dirty, the room was mostly clean and the A/C and heating controls were not functioning well. It seemed to me like the hotel needed some attention and oversight.

Needs some remodeling. Normal hotel conveniences unavailable. Okay for one night, but not much longer. They did have a microwave and refrigerator, nothing else not even a box of tissues.

When we arrived after midnight with two young kids, we were surprised and disappointed that the room they gave us had not had ANY room service since the previous guests. The beds were unmade, towels were on the floor, etc. Upon returning to the front desk, the employee seemed unsurprised and unconcerned (which makes me wonder if Hilton properties do this frequently??) She did give us another room, which was serviced (though sub par on cleanliness) but it delayed our already late bedtime and was very frustrating. Clearly they are having some issues with their room service communication, but what bothered me even more was that the front desk worker didn't even apologize. I spoke with a manager the next day, who was very kind and apologized, but apparently we booked through a 3rd party and so there was nothing they "could do" beyond offering us Hilton points. I'm just not sure I will ever stay at a Hilton again, as it's our second bad experience with one of their hotels. The rest of the stay was fine. The breakfast had a cool pancake making machine that we enjoyed.
