Spring temperatures feel warm here, with highs in the upper 60s rising to the high 80s as March moves through May. The Cajun Hot Sauce Festival also takes place in April, so if you're looking for some local flair, you might plan to visit for the Jambalaya cook-off and hot sauce competition. Summer temperatures are also pretty hot. Summer is New Iberia's busiest tourist season, and spring the second-busiest, so book early to lock in good prices.
Fall temperatures still feel comfortable, with highs in the 90s falling into the 70s from September through November. It's a slower time for tourism, so it's a good time to book if you're looking for deals. Winter highs are in the 60s and 70s, so while it's not a tropical getaway, it's still a great way to escape the bitter cold in other parts of the country.

New Iberia was very nice lots of things to see.
I was raised there and my people live or are buried there so I am biased. My daughter-in-law had never been and enjoyed Duffies diner and the Tabasco plant. I had never eaten at the 1868 resturent the food was very Cajun and not expensive
It has some good seafood, try the Seafood Connection!
Just a neat town and we like going to Avery Island. Also good food and shopping.
