The Avalon Hotel and Conference Center is a Historic hotel located in downtown Erie across the street from the Children's Theater. I parked in the garage which is on the backside of the hotel and took the elevator to the lobby. Off either end of the lobby is where everything is at. One direction is the meeting space with foyer featuring Grand piano, fountain and small outdoor courtyard with seating; the other direction the Erie Room where Continental Breakfast (included in rate) and Benjamin's Restaurant that serves dinner. Other dining options and bars are also available within walking distance. Hosting an event, not a problem the hotel has a wide variety of menus to select from and up to 1000 guests with their flexible event space. Majority of guest rooms have been recently renovated with new carpeting, furniture and soft goods. This hotel is great while on business or leisure especially family reunions or weddings.

The Avalon Hotel and Conference Center is located in the heart of downtown Erie and features 193 spacious, newly renovated guest rooms, over 35,000 square feet of flexible meeting space and a quaint garden courtyard. Our oversized guest rooms are comfortably appointed with welcoming neutral decor. The Avalon is in the center of Erie's downtown entertainment district. For sports enthusiasts, Erie offers sporting events year round with the Erie Otters Hockey, Erie Seawolves Baseball, Erie Explosion Indoor Football and Erie Bayhawks Basketball. Lovers of art, music and theater will enjoy The Erie Art Museum, The Erie Playhouse and the historic Warner Theatre. Share a laugh at Jr's Comedy Club and enjoy a meal at any of our fine restaurants. All of this is right outside the door of The Avalon.
