The Metairie center point is approximately the area of De Paul Hospital and Day Svc and 1 mile south of East Jefferson General Hospital.
The weather in Metairie is best between February and May because it's cool without being cold and the humidity isn't unbearable. Remember that sometime in February or early March you'll run into Mardi Gras, which has hotels all over the area selling out at high prices, so unless you're traveling for that specific purpose, avoid that week. Because rates can see Mardi Gras hikes during the entire month, consider January as an alternative. Autumn is also beautiful and far less humid than summer, but it's hurricane season, which makes some travelers leery.
