The Rehoboth Beach center point is around the area of Rehoboth Beach Historical and 1 mile east of Tanger Outlets Rehoboth Beach.
With a coastline as the star of the show, it goes without saying that summer is the best time to visit Rehoboth Beach. The sun shines, there's a lively, friendly atmosphere, and the breeze coming in off the ocean is an absolute dream. The months of June, July, and August see temperatures at their best for beach bathing, with highs in the 70s or 80s.
All that said, Rehoboth Beach gets busy at these peak times. The sandy shores are packed with people in the summer, so if you want to avoid the crowds (and find yourself a more affordable hotel deal), head to Rehoboth Beach during the shoulder season. The months of May and September are both very pleasant and warm, and you may well find yourself a better deal.
f you're after a good hotel deal in Rehoboth Beach, winter is definitely the time to go, as hotel prices plummet. Things die down during the winter months, but unlike some beach resort destinations, not every single shop shuts down entirely. Nearly all the restaurants remain open all year round, as do the breweries, where you can grab yourself a drink or go on a tour. Temperatures aren't too inviting — around the 40s and 50s in the dead of winter — but the main downtown area is still a great place for a walk.
A number of mid-range hotels cans be found in Rehoboth Beach, each offering style and luxury at an affordable price. Henlopen Hotel is right on the beachfront, and although you'd expect prices would sky-rocket due to its location, they range from just $100 to $200 a night depending on the time of year you're visiting. Complimentary breakfast, cable TV, and free parking come standard, and many of the rooms even feature partial or full ocean views.
If being right next to the beach isn't a priority, try the Canalside Inn. This hotel boasts ultra-modern rooms with a bright, airy feel. There's free Wi-Fi, breakfast, and parking, and pets are allowed on the property. In low season you can bag a room for around $90 a night, and in high season they're around $185 a night. Given the stylish surroundings, this will feel like a bargain.
There are hotels in Rehoboth Beach to suit any kind of traveler, so finding special discounts and deals is no hard task. One of the best hotels for discounts is the Atlantic Sands Hotel and Conference Center, which has special discount rates for AAA members, military, and seniors. One of the best things about staying here is that this is an ocean front hotel; many of the rooms come with sweeping views across the coastline and out to sea. Not only is the hotel great for people on vacation, but its extensive meeting facilities make it a top option for those in town on business, too.
There are also many hotel that offer group rates if you're travel with lots of people. For example, groups who booked at the Hampton Inn have received an 11% discount on average. These savings are even more impressive when you take into account the hotel's pool, fitness center, and complimentary breakfast. While it's not right in the center of Rehoboth, there are quick links to the boardwalk, and the airport is just 10 minutes away.
It's easy to think that Rehoboth Beach is all about its gorgeous coastline. While the sands are certainly one of the greatest perks of visiting Rehoboth Beach, especially in summer, there are plenty of things to do here that don't involve lying around in the sunshine.
In fact, the area is known for its abundant opportunities for discount shopping. The Tanger Outlet on the Coastal Highway just outside town offers some great discounts on big-name brands. If you're in town off-season and the weather doesn't look so great, head here to stroll around the shops. Downtown Rehoboth is another great place for shopping if you're into small boutique stores that offer something a little different.
Nassau Valley Vineyard is also just a short hop away, around a 20-minute drive from downtown Rehoboth. Describing itself as "Delaware's first and only award-winning winery," this vineyard offers a special experience that is open year-round for tours and tastings, as well as a chance to see the green rolling hills of inland Delaware.
If you just want a change of beach scenery, head slightly further norther to Cape Henlopen State Park. Here you can sun yourself on the sands, hike the three-mile paved trail that loops the park, or play a round of golf on the 18-hole course.
Whether you're in town for business or booking into a swish hotel for a sunny vacation, Rehoboth Beach offers plenty of activities to fill any kind of trip. The many hotel options here make it easy to organize your visit, so a break in this beautiful part of the USA is just a few simple clicks away.
