The Inside Scoop by our Local Expert
The Oyster Olympics is an annual competition where interns from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, Chesapeake Conservation Corps, Nature Conservancy, Restore America's Estuaries, and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration compete at the Chesapeake Bay. Each event was created to help restore the Bay's oyster population and raise awareness about coastal and marine habitats. The first event features clam shaking, which helps restores oysters to a dirt free area so they can continue to grow. Book your hotels near Oyster Olympics now!
