Originating in 1979, the Chicago Jazz Festival is a popular event located in downtown Chicago's Petrillo Music Shell in Grant Park. Held annually on Labor Day Weekend, the four day free festival offers performances from local, national, and international artists. The mission of the festival is to spread awareness and develop an appreciation of all types of Jazz music.
