The Inside Scoop by our Local Expert
Begun in 1984 to showcase the annual tulip harvest, the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival has become a popular way to celebrate the beginning of springtime in the Pacific Northwest. Visitors can enjoy the display each April, when local Skagit Valley communities, including Burlington, Mount Vernon, Concrete, Lyman-Hamilton and Sedro-Woolley come alive with riotous color as millions of tulips burst into bloom. Indeed, the festival includes all of Skagit County, so it is probably best enjoyed by car or bus. Book your hotels near Skagit Valley Tulip Festival now!
