Whether you're looking for activities before or after you set sail, you'll find plenty to do near the Port of Jacksonville. Nature lovers can visit one of the few remaining tracts of natural coastal wetlands at the Timucuan Ecological and Historic Preserve which showcases stands of hardwoods, salt marshes and coastal dunes as well as many types of vegetation and animals. For another look at old Florida, drop by the 1798 Kingsley Plantation, the oldest plantation house in the state.
