If you're looking for privacy and budget-friendly accommodations, plan to visit Vallejo during the winter. While you might face chilly nights and strong winds, you won't see as many crowds when you visit local attractions. Consider visiting in early December or late January to avoid the temporary tourism spikes over the holidays.
However, when you don't mind paying a few more dollars for your hotel room, you'll get more enjoyment from Vallejo during the fall. Book your trip between late September and early November to enjoy favorable weather, reduced crowds, and very little chance for rain. While spring offers similar perks, you're more likely to experience a sudden downpour.
Hotel prices and crowds peak during summer. Many vacationers travel through Vallejo and other parts of the Bay Area on their way to sunnier destinations, such as Los Angeles.
If you book your stay at Best Western Inn & Suites at Discovery Kingdom or the Comfort Inn Vallejo, you can score a discount of up to 10 percent by flashing your AAA membership card upon arrival. You might get discounted rates if you book your rooms in advance, as well, so start planning your trip today.

The proximity to Mare Island and the water.
We are from Sacramento, and we came specially for “Six Flaggs” Halloween. Thank you.
We stayed in American Canyon, which was a quiet pleasant town near Discovery Kingdom. They had a nice selection of stores and places to eat in town as well.
I liked that stores were within walking distance and there was enough parking for our school bus. Our students loved that it was close to In-N-Out and Chick-fil-A.
Lots of shopping, food and coffee! It is also easy to get to and close to the freeway.
