When you're planning the best time to visit Surrey, you need to decide what you're most interested in doing. Summer is high season for tourists who flock to the area to enjoy all the festivals and outdoor activities. From June through August, the average high temperatures are in the upper 60s and low 70s Fahrenheit. Since this is the most popular time to visit, expect to pay high rates for your hotel room. If you do go during this time of year, make sure you book several weeks in advance to guarantee availability.
When the temperatures in fall start to decline, you're rewarded with dropping hotel prices as well. If you're interested in exploring the outdoors without the summer crowds, plan your visit for early fall. September starts out with average highs in the mid-60s, but by November, the highs have dropped into the upper 40s.
If you're interested in winter sports, Surrey makes a good home base for enjoying the nearby slopes. December through February sees average high temperatures in the lower 40s and average low temperatures in the 30s. While you'll find some of the lowest hotel prices of the year during these months, if you're interested in exploring the city, this is probably not the best time to visit.
Spring is another lovely time to visit Surrey. In March, average highs climb into the 50s, and by May temperatures get up into the lower 60s. The city comes alive with flowers, and festivals start rolling into town again. Spring is also a good time to find a great hotel deal before the summer crowds come back and hotels raise rates again.
