The theme of this Kansas City, Missouri, amusement park is Jules Verne's book "Around the World in 80 Days." Located only 10 minutes northeast of downtown and 20 miles from the Kansas City International Airport, the park includes five worlds: Scandinavia, The Orient, Americana, Europa and Africa. Camp Snoopy, where guests can spend time with the famous PEANUTS characters, sits within its Americana section.The park is home to six world-class roller coasters. It boasts Mamba, the Patriot, and coming in 2009, the Prowler. Oceans of Fun is the accompanying water park, which features 18 water slides, a lazy river, and a wave pool. At Oceans of Fun, guests can rent private cabanas, as well as tubes and lockers. Worlds of Fun's rides, roller coasters, and live shows offer entertainment for the whole family. Admission for each park is separate, but guests can purchase "Ride and Slide" passes.The park coordinates special events like Oktoberfest, Halloween Haunt and Coaster Mayhem. Each world in Worlds of Fun also offers a myriad of places to dine and shop.
