The Inside Scoop by our Local Expert
Opened in February 1998, the Roger Dean Stadium is a 110-acre facility located approximately a quarter mile east of Interstate 95. A $28 million spring training complex, the stadium was designed to house two Major League Baseball teams (the Florida Marlins and St. Louis Cardinals). It is also the only stadium in the country to host two minor league teams (the Jupiter Hammerheads and Palm Beach Cardinals of the Florida State League). The concession stands have everything from peanuts to light meals to make your day more enjoyable. The stadium features luxury sky-box seating, permanent seating, parking, and concessions. It seats approximately 6,800 fans. Roger Dean Stadium can be rented out for the day to hold a graduation ceremony, fund-raiser, meeting, company picnics, or private functions. The Stadium has hosted several concerts since 2000. The USA Baseball Junior Olympic Tournament is held annually in June and the Baseball America/Perfect Game Baseball Wood Bat Championship is held in October. As you can see, this stadium is the perfect venue to hold a large event, or you can just buy a ticket and come see a game here. When thinking about Roger Dean Stadium, there's only one more thing to be said, “Play ball!”
