The town's roots stretch back into prehistory when several Native American tribes lived in the region and hunted in the lush forests. In 1745, Frederick Town was mapped out by land speculator Daniel Dulany. From that point, the town grew and thrived over the centuries until it eventually became what we know of today as the bustling burg of Frederick.

I lived in Frederick for sixteen years. When I return it's like old home week. I always visit Spring Ridge to see my friends and former neighbors. Seeing beautiful familiar scenery and dining in one of the familiar restaurants is thrilling. I went to a meeting this time with an organization I'm involved with. Meeting was at Dutch's Daughter, a superb restaurant with lovely atmosphere.

Lots of great restaurants and shopping. My husband left his dress clothes at home and the desk clerk at the Hilton Garden Inn suggested Men's Wearhouse. Not only was my husband able to find the clothes, but they hemmed the pants and steamed the shirt so they'd be ready in the morning.
