Northern Kentucky enjoys four distinct seasons, and each has its own charms. When you visit Erlanger, KY really depends on your reason for traveling. If you have time to spare, there are many delightful activities happening in this Kentucky town all year long.
In the summer, Shakespeare in the Park brings the townspeople together for local theater. Then on the third Sunday of September, Erlanger hosts its annual Heritage Day. The community comes together for crafts, food, music, and wagon tours of the town's historic district. At this time of year, the weather has just cooled down to a warm yet comfortable temperature, and the skies are typically bright and blue. From Halloween to Christmas time, there are family activities that delight young and old, from trick-or-treating to the annual tree lighting ceremony and holiday train display.
If you're traveling to Cincinnati and planning on staying in Erlanger to save, you'll find great rates throughout the year. Just watch out for peak times and holidays that would generally affect room rates, like Christmas, New Year's Eve, Fourth of July, and graduation months like May and June.
For travelers seeking discounts near Erlanger, Courtyard by Marriott Cincinnati Airport / South Florence matches high end properties in price but supersedes them in value. Senior citizens and AAA members will both find great rates at this airport hotel, as will military members. Convenience is king here, from the on-site restaurant and bar to the in-room microwaves and fridges in select layouts.
Though room layouts appear to be somewhat limited, the king bed and one sofa bed configuration is roomy enough to accommodate a couple and a few grandkids, too. Some rooms also offer a balcony, so grandkids can try to spot planes flying in and out of the nearby airport. Guests appreciate the convenient (and free) Courtyard by Marriott Cincinnati shuttle, saving them on taxi fare to and from the airport.
If you plan on staying in Erlanger for the long-term, you won't find better extended stay rates than at the Wingate by Wyndham Erlanger. This hotel trumps hotels twice its price in terms of amenities, from its free breakfast to the indoor pool and fitness center. The Wingate by Wyndham lies within Erlanger city limits and it lies just minutes from the airport. There is ample parking, if you need it, or you can catch a ride with the hotel's airport shuttle from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m.
The Hyatt Place Cincinnati Airport / Florence offers similar amenities to comparable Erlanger area hotels, at a more accessible value rate. This efficient hotel is comfortable but understated and well-suited to business travelers who are stopping over for the night or for families and groups. The Hyatt Place's room layouts include a sink outside of the bathroom, so more than one person can get ready at a time, and the décor is up-to-date with details like subway tiles, granite, and cherry wood.
The Hyatt Place does boast a memorable indoor pool, whose gabled light-filled space resembles an atrium. It's a welcome refuge from the airport and the city. Guests also rave about the free breakfast, which includes everything from English muffins and cereal to breakfast sandwiches, yogurt, and fresh fruit. It's a complimentary amenity you won't always get at similarly priced luxury hotels near Erlanger.
For travelers who need a long-term home away from home, Extended Stay America Cincinnati — Florence makes a solid choice. This hotel offers every kind of room layout you might desire, with suites designed for larger families with full kitchens and scaled down studios with modest kitchenettes. You can cook in room to save money or take your pick from a host of bars and restaurants nearby. Extended Stay America Cincinnati also offers an eight-item quick start breakfast to help guests fuel up for a day exploring Erlanger or catching a flight at nearby Cincinnati airport.
Erlanger got its start like a lot of other places in the Kentucky frontier — with a single log cabin. Over the years since, Erlanger has grown in leaps and bounds. The first growth spurt came with the opening of its railroad depot in the late 1800s, and in the 1960s, the construction of the interstate highways enticed more citizens and businesses.
While Erlanger is wholly community oriented, the town's government is actively courting new business growth with generous tax incentives. A great cost of living, convenience to Cincinnati, and ease of access ensure that Erlanger's growth and appeal will only continue in the years to come.

I was there to see the Creation Museum and the Ark. Other than that I don`t think I would have reason to go back to the area. Shopping and food was easy to find. About anything you could want
When visiting the city, definitely recommend City BBQ for its wonderful food and great service. The people are also so friendly.
