The Grants Pass center is around the area of Art Mall of Southern Oregon and the area of Grants Pass Museum of Art.
Grants Pass remains true to its motto, "It's the climate." Situated in a Zone 7 climate, this city enjoys hot summer days that dramatically cool at night. If you're someone who enjoys dry, sunny weather, then July and August is the time to visit. During this time, you can expect highs of 88.8 degrees Fahrenheit and lows of 53.7 degrees Fahrenheit. There will also be plenty going on downtown, including outdoor markets and festivals.
More of a winter traveler? If so, be sure to pack a sweater and umbrella. The average high temperature in January is 46.6 degrees Fahrenheit with a low of 35.1 degrees Fahrenheit. Cool and rainy, Grants Pass rarely gets snow. Based on the summer Mediterranean-like climate and mild winters, Grants Pass yields unique vegetation that differs from the rest of Oregon. This is why the surrounding area is so lush, beautiful, and best of all, calming.
Although the weather is a major deciding factor, you may be more interested in the type of events that are happening throughout the year. Boatnik is a great carnival and speedboat event held every Memorial Day weekend. There are also plenty of fall-inspired festivals, including harvest fairs, the downtown trick-or-treat event, and the spooky Graveyard Tours. During the winter season, the city transforms as magical musical Christmas murals appear downtown.

Those who work for the American government or serve in the United States military enjoy a 10 percent discount. You can also sign up for their rewards point system.

I love stopping in Grants Pass. It's got a good old town feel downtown and has kept some gorgeous original buildings. I like finding the coffee shop on the corner (Dutch Bros) and I really like going to the Sunshine Cafe for a healthy lunch. Please always keep that sign, "It's the climate." Nice welcome.

Grants Pass has so many different things to do: Crater Lake, the caves, floating down the river, jet boat rides. We visited the shops downtown and the Saturday market and everyone was so friendly. Two days is not enough time to experience all there is to offer!
