The Gillette center is about 3 miles west of Cam Plex and 4 miles southeast of Gillette Campbell County Airport.
The best weather in Gillette is from mid-June to early October. Champion Traveler ranks Gillette in the 37th percentile as far as pleasant weather, citing the high levels of humidity that make the city feel pretty cold for nearly half of the year and hot during the summer months.
Although there is a low chance at any given time that there will be rain or snow, the temperatures are hottest in July and August and start climbing in mid-June. The highest levels of humidity are during the winter months, so the summer does not feel as hot as it would if the humidity levels were high during the season.
Keeping all of this in mind, it is wise to bring a light jacket during the spring and fall and a heavy coat during the coldest months of the year. Luckily, you do not have to worry about snow, and the temperatures are rarely below freezing to make the roads freeze over.

The Rail Yard restaurant was very good.
