Welcome to Cincinnati
Called the Queen City, Cincinnati is the third largest city in Ohio, known for its historic architecture, professionals sports and brewing legacy. It the first major American city founded after the American Revolution, so some consider it the first "pure American" city. Due to its location on the southwest border of Ohio and along the banks of the Ohio River, visitors have access to a three-state region: Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana. Expect four distinct seasons in this Midwest climate; temperatures peak in the 80s in the summertime and fall to the 30s come winter.
How do you get around Cincinnati? You can rent a car and drive across Interstates 71, 74 and 75, which are the major arteries running through downtown. The city is regarded as quite pedestrian-friendly, so don't hesitate to explore attractions on foot. Stroll across John A. Roebling Suspension Bridge or the pedestrian-only Purple People Bridge, two of several bridges that link Northern Kentucky to downtown Cincinnati. The Metro also offers 26 local service routes throughout the city.
