The room was clean, comfortable. The staff was friendly. Thankfully, we moved to a different hotel and made it downtown Lakeland. We actually got to see the beauty of the city. The lakes, parks, eateries, and symbolic swans is what we are so glad we had a chance to see. We got on the “Squeeze” and our driver, Joe, gave us somewhat of an unexpected historic tour which was awesome!

I was born was here. Downtown is great. We have baseball, plenty of parks. Lakeland is located between Tampa and Orlando. You can be at the beach, West or East coast within a couple of hours. The weather is wonderful.

The area where the car show was is very nice. The gardens and lake set the perfect place for a care show. There was also boat races happening at the same time. I would suggest checking into events before going to Lakeland.

I was there to tour Florida Polytechnic University with 80 high school juniors. The school is beautiful and the tour was great.
This being Christmas, the area was beautifully decorated. Where there is normally a fountain, they had a huge Christmas tree that lit in unison to music, as well as "snow" blowing from the trees, and carolers dressed in period costumes. Along with awesome restaurants, a movie theater, and enough stores to shop for hours all within walking distance of the hotel!
