Local farmer's markets also open during the spring, allowing you access to fresh meat, produce, plants, flowers, and trinkets. There aren't many tourists during this time of the year, so you can probably score a great deal on a hotel in the area.
The harsh winter makes Hoffman Estates low on the priority list for many tourists, as temperatures fall and snowfall rises. However, there are several resorts that are perfect for the winter sports enthusiast. Whether you're a beginner or more advanced, you'll love the skiing and snowboarding at resorts such as Four Lakes, Raging Buffalo, Villa Olivia, and Wilmot Mountain Ski Resort. When the winter holidays hit, demand for hotel rooms goes up, although not nearly as much as in the summer.
Autumn temperatures in Hoffman Estates are extraordinarily pleasant, ranging from the 70s in the day to the 50s at night. During this season, Hoffman Estates turns into a golfer's paradise with a half-dozen courses within a short drive of the city.
