The good news is that the hotel was excellent and the staff were friendly and helpful. Now for the bad news. My father booked the hotel in November 2023 for three couples for three nights and paid £1411 in advance. When one couple arrived, the hotel had no record of the booking and had received no payments from hotelplanner.com It seems hotel.planner.com had cancelled the bookings with no warning or communication either to my father or to the hotel. My father had to pay again to secure the rooms and wrote an email to hotelplanner.com asking for an explanation and a refund. A full refund was given a few days later but still no apology or explanation for their action. I will never use hotelplanner.com to book accommodation again and would never recommend them to anyone. I am still waiting for an apology and explanation for the cancellation. But credit to the Beachcroft Hotel for providing rooms and adding in breakfasts which were not included in the price.
