This was our second time staying at The President Hotel and as before we loved everything about it. The hotel itself is beautiful. The staff was very helpful and we look forward to being guests again sometime soon.

The President Hotel, built in 1926, was host to many elegant dinners, business meetings and events. It is again the place to stay! The Drum Room opened in 1941 and famous people such as Frank Sinatra, Benny Goodman, Sammy Davis Jr., Tommy Dorsey and Glenn Miller all performed here during their careers. The Hotel has been redesigned from the brick walls except for the historic rooms. The original 453 room hotel now has 213 spacious guest rooms to include 5 Suites, 2 Corner Suites and 19 Junior Suites, all equipped with modern amenities. The hotel just completed a multi million dollar renovation in February 2017 of the sleeping rooms and public space.The Lobby and Congress Ballroom have been restored to their appearance from 1941. The Aztec, Walnut and Drum rooms have been restored close to the original. The Hotel offers approximately 10,000 square feet of meeting and banquet space. A stunning 4,500 square foot Ballroom (Congress) located on the 12th floor with ceiling to floor windows provides a breath taking view of Kansas City. The Aztec Room is 1,440 square feet and is known for its unique style and design. In addition, there are 6 meeting rooms and a Board Room ranging from 330 to 575 square feet.
