The hotel has currently been remodeled and has a very clean, bright and fresh lobby. Beautiful marble floors and a fabulous chandalier greet you. The hotel is attached to the Ramada and they have the same owner, but seperate lobby areas. Business center is located in the lobby area. The furnishings are all new and very contemporary with a large screen tv in the lobby. Front desk staff was very friendly. Both hotels share the restaurant and banquet space. The restaurant is in need of renovations and will be done in the near future. The banquet space, apx. 17,000 s.f., is in the process of being renovated. Overall, the hotel is nice. The location is a high traffic area, but convenient to I-77.

The lobby is very spacious, nice, clean and offers several sitting areas. The hotel is being updated in increments and will be a nice option for large groups needing conference space at an affordable price. The conference space is currently undergoing renovations and will be very nice once completed offering 17,000 s.f. of meeting space. The restaurant area is in the open atrium which reaches four stories high. I was advised the updates to this area will include new paint and furniture in the restaurant area. The guest rooms overlook outside or the atrium. Some have begun renovation. The bathrooms are nice and contemporary, the bedroom area has some new furniture and linens. The hotel is located just off of I-77 at Woodlawn. Although there are not restaurants within walking distance, a short drive will take you to SouthEnd where several trendy restaurants are avialable. The hotel has a lot of good potential to become a great conference facility and alternative for Charlotte for those not wanting to pay downtown prices.

Ramada Airport South and Conference Center hosts 224 sleeping rooms out of 417 total rooms in the complex. 17,000 sq ft. of flexible meeting space with no obstructions to hamper guests view. Meeting space can break out to total of 17 individual rooms. Ramada Airport South and Conference Center features a spectacular 4-story Atrium restaurant, serving a full hot breakfast buffet between the hours of 6:30 am to 10:30 am. Lunch offers a southern style menu with an occasional chef's choice buffet from the hours of 11:00 am to 2:00 pm. Nightly Dinner specials from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM. Unwind after a hectic day in our O'Hara's Lounge offering nightly drink specials with live entertainment on weekends and a capacity seating of 350 people. Sleeping room hosts amenities that include, express check out, free local phone calls, 27” TV with HBO and On Command movies, free Wireless high speed Internet, Iron and Ironing board, Coffee makes, Drop off and pick up Dry-cleaning, Other amenities include a complimentary computer and printer located at the front lobby, washer/dryer, work out room and an outdoor seasonal pool.
