I was greeted by the General Manager and she was very kind and accommodating. The hotel has gone through renovation and the lobby was bright with warm furnishings. The breakfast area is down the hall and adjacent is an exercise facility. They serve a full hot breakfast daily included in the rate. The breakfast area was spacious and clean The equipment all appeared to be newer cardio machines. At the end of the hall was the exterior door to the outdoor swimming pool and whirlpool. The hotel does have a good sized meeting room with two air walls, so it can be divided into three smaller rooms, total 1,250 s.f. They have 80 guest rooms. The rooms had flat screen televisions, refrigerator and microwave, wall mounted hair dryer, coffee maker iron and ironing board. The linens seemed to be a little aged, but the rooms were very clean. There is a business center near the front desk lobby area. The hotel is located off of exit 28 and I-77 and is easy to get to. The grounds are wooded and welcoming. Traffic was low and I had no problems getting in and out of the parking lot. There are several restaurants within walking distance and there is nearby shopping within a five minute drive. This hotel is a Two Star hotel, and I would rate it a very "high" Two Star. The area is safe and is not in the "heartbeat" of Lake Norman, so therefore, rates tend to be more flexible providing a good value.

Our hotel's interior has the Victorian warmth of rich colors and patterns.
