I walked into a lovely lobby and entrance. The furnishings are very fresh and of high quality. The modern, but traditional, provided the scenario of a fantastic stay and hotel experience. Adjacent to the lobby is the lounge and restaurant area, open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The hotel is shaped like a hollow square and in the center is a large beautiful courtyard with plenty of seating and a lap pool. This is a great area to host a group event. Adjacent to the hotel is a spacious grassy knoll area which is also used for outdoor events. The public areas are beautiful and the guest rooms did not disappoint. High quality furnishings, very clean rooms and standard amenities fall nothing short of perfection. Flat screen television, coffee maker, hair dryer, iron and ironing board in each room. Room service is available as well. My favorite part of the hotel, in addition to the lobby, is the fitness center. Overlooking the pool and courtyard this two room facility is spacious, offers cardio and free weight exercise options. The hotel offers 2,100 s.f. of function space and the Ballroom can be broken down into three seperate meeting rooms. On site catering is available. Airport shuttle provided complimentary. The convenient location to the airport is a plus and the location of the hotel, off the beaten path, helps add to the serene spa like atmosphere of the hotel and who can forget those wonderful Doubletree Cookies! The Doubletree Charlotte Airport is a great hotel for business meetings and weekend events. I highly recommend this hotel!

I arrived and was told that I could not get Hilton points because I did not book my reservation on the Hilton website. When I questioned a second person, they gave me points for the stay but explained the process further. Also, this hotel is showing its age and needs to be renovated.
