Quaint small hotel in the middle of all things Lower East Side. Huge, newly renovated rooms with lots of character. Plenty of space for our family of three plus a great outdoor space! Would definitely stay here again!

Property Description
The Historic Blue Moon Hotel NYC promises an experience that allows guests from around the world the ability to simultaneously lodge at our lovingly restored 1879 award-winning hotel while reveling in New York City's most vibrant and artsy contemporary culture.
Location: The eclectic Lower East Side is where gritty alleys and tenement-style buildings mix with upscale apartments and chic boutiques. Nighttime draws hip, young crowds to the area's trendy bars, music venues and restaurants
Amenities: FREE WiFi, 6-foot bathtub, iron & ironing board, hair blowdryer, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, make-up wipes, earplugs, white noise machine on demand, housekeeping on demand, room service during cafe hours (takeout style), smart TV at least 50 inch, most rooms with balconies, complementary coffee and tea with a coffee machine and a fully equipped kitchenette with fridge, induction top, pots & pans, utensils
History: In 2001 Manhattan Artist and Developer, Randy Settenbrino, envisioned a stately hotel where others only saw a neighborhood's crumbling tenement building.?The tenement apartments were closed off for 70 years. 1930s to 2001, making it a time capsule from Depression-era Manhattan. There was a treasure trove of personal effects and artifacts that were discovered as Settenbrino hovered over the excavations like a guardian angel. Then Mayor Fiorello LaGuardia decreed that owners had to meet stricter codes, and the landlords declined the cost prohibitive requirements and simply closed off the residential floors, preferring to forego tenants and focus on working their storefronts.
As part of his renovation, Settenbrino salvaged the tenement's fixtures and artifacts, reintegrating them into the hotel's design, scattering and repurposing their likenesses throughout his cozy inn. Historic memorabilia found throughout the building during reconstruction have been preserved and used as a part of the décor. Wood moldings became picture frames to house images of the jazz era celebrities the rooms are dedicated to. Wrought iron was taken from the original shapely fire escapes to form elegant window balconies, mosaics gathered from the central vestibule were reconfigured into strategic spaces throughout the lobby, elevator and entertainment space.
Rooms: All of the rooms at the Historic Blue Moon are stunning each in their own unique way, from the 311 sqft Superior King room, our most basic, to the 711 sqft Quintessential Suite with a view that makes you feel like you own New York. The modern but warm interior presents a beautiful complement to the history of the building as well as all of the comforts of the 21st century and more.
We have only 22 rooms, however they are the biggest and the best that Manhattan has to offer.
Food: Sweet Dreams Cafe is open on the main floor from 11:00 AM - 7:00 PM Sun- Thurs, Friday the cafe closes at 3:30 PM, room service is complementary to our guests and is presented takeout style.
Staff: All of our staff members hail from the great city of New York and are always ready to cultivate a meaningful, relationship with our wonderful guests.
