The Boulder center is about the area of Naropa University and the area of University of Colorado Boulder.
Boulder is a big University city in Colorado. It is known to have the most extremely physically fit people living there. Boulder also has its Pearl Street Mall, a street full with every store you can possibly imagine including restaurants. You can stroll for many hours. If you like going on hikes, visit the Flat Iron Mountains with many walking paths.
I bet you think it's cold in the valley, don't you? Maybe too much wind and snow for your liking? Too overcast? Well, think again! Boulder has a relatively dry climate, as does much of Colorado. For 300 days of the year, the sun is out and shining down on the people, including you, when you take your vacation in this lovely town. The city is protected by the front range of the Rocky Mountains, which is why there is less snow than you might imagine. Because Boulder sits at such a high elevation, the sun warms the snow when it does fall, and it melts rapidly when combined with those Chinook winds.
The average temperatures throughout the year are very temperate with highs in the eighties for much of the summer. During the months of autumn, temperatures are still in the high sixties and seventies, making Boulder the perfect destination for driving through the mountains and watching the glorious color changes in the trees. The leaves burst into flames of color before falling and making way for winter. Winter temperatures don't hover at freezing, which is surprising. With the average temperature around fifty in the dead of winter, you're sure to be comfortable as you hit the slopes for skiing or shop and eat at the famous Pearl Street Mall.
