I made an emergency reservation for my brother who was just being released from the hospital after being assaulted and robbed, so he had no wallet. Although I was told it was nonrefundable and so paid extra for insurance, no one told me he needed a picture id to stay. He was denied his prepaid for two nights because he had no picture id. The property management simply quoted their policy, but I still had to pay for a two night stay. On top of that, the insurance I purchased denied the claim. Such a disappointing lack of concern and consideration of extenuating circumstances by this property and its management!

For one, I got absolutely scammed with the price. Didn't realize I wasn't reserving direct with Red Roof Inn. Charged $165 for a room in the most unsafe area of Dayton! Room should have been $65. Totally irate with the experience 👎.

When we checked in on Fri computer not working. got to the room, TV did not work. Room was clean which was a plus. But this sunday am at 1:30am, two gentlemen opened the door to our room with a key. Thank goodness we were awake. we yeld ed at them, they shut the door, I tried to use the room phone don't work. I called the main desk with my cellphone, after the phone ranged a long time the clerk answered. Told him what happened. He said it showed our room was not occupied. We had trouble sat afternoon, after being gone for a few hrs, when to open the door and the card would not work. Went to the desk and they gave us a new 1. The same thing happened this morning when we went to get coffee from the office, door would not open. Had to ask for more towels and washcloths as there was only one towel in the room. No extra toilet paper. When person in next room took a shower could hear the water running. Would not recommend this hotel.
