Home to the Philadelphia Eagles, Lincoln Financial Stadium is a state-of-the-art facility that features striking architecture and outstanding amenities. Known as “The Linc” to locals, the stadium is located in South Philadelphia on Pattison Avenue, and offers seating for nearly 69,000 fans. In addition to the football games held each year, the stadium plays host to several soccer games and the NCAA Lacrosse National Championship.During your time here, there are several must-see hot spots. A visit to the Lincoln Financial Field HeadHouse features a visual presentation of some of the football team's most defining moments, an Eagles Pro Shop, Red Zone Lounge and the Eagles' Ticket Office. A behind-the-scenes tour of the field is available on non-event days. The tour will take you to otherwise-unseen areas such as the press box, locker room, broadcast booth, a private suite, and much more.Construction of the stadium began on May 7, 2001, and replaced the old Veterans Stadium. After more than two years of work, the first game was played—a soccer match between Manchester United and FC Barcelona. However, the first football game was finally played on September 8, 2003, and featured the Eagles versus the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
