A place like no other, where traditions are started and lifetime memories are made. Nestled cozy in the heart of the White Mountains, in Waterville Valley Resort lies The Black Bear Lodge. Situated amongst 770,000 acres of some of the most beautiful scenery anywhere, you'll find one of the Northeast's biggest outdoor playgrounds. Just a 5 minute walk from our front door, you will find Town Square. The Square is home to wonderful shops, and restaurants. Town Square's center piece is Corcoran pond, where you can swim, soak up some sun, paddle boat, kayak, fish, the possibilities seem endless here in the valley. Here at the Black Bear Lodge, you can quench your thirst for exploration on one, or a few, of the 100's of hiking trails that surround us!The Black Bear Lodge is an all-suite hotel with 107 individually owned units which comfortably sleep four to eight people. The Black Bear Lodge has all of the amenities you'll find in a condominium style hotel. Each unit features a galley kitchen, with full sized appliances, and everything but the food. The galley kitchen opens up to a dining room, living room, and separate bedroom featuring a queen bed and twin bed with trundle. A pull-down Murphy bed, or sofa bed in the living room provides another sleeping area. The Black Bear Lodge has an indoor/outdoor heated pool, outdoor whirlpool spa, exercise room, sauna and steam room, game room, two conference rooms and a four living room style seating areas, one with field stone fireplace. If that isn't enough, we also give you an activities pass to the White Mountain Athletic Club, which gives you access to the indoor and outdoor pools, cardiovascular room, indoor track, and weight room. For a nominal fee, the health club also offers indoor tennis, racquetball and massage therapy by appointment.You can also enjoy free wireless Internet access in all lobbies and rooms. All units come with air conditioning, to help you cool off after a long hike!
