Before you can decide the best time to visit Crestview, you need to determine what you want to do while you're here. Even though summers in the area are hot and humid, it's still one of the most popular seasons to visit. Average high temperatures from June to August are in the low 90s Fahrenheit. Despite the heat, you'll find plenty of people show up to enjoy outdoor activities around the area. As a result, hotels can charge higher prices.
Fall in Crestview brings a nice compromise. Temperatures start to drop, which makes it more comfortable to enjoy outdoor activities. From September to November, average highs are in the 70s and 80s. Additionally, since most of the summer crowds have gone home, hotels will also begin to lower prices.
Even though Crestview is in Florida, it was once known as "the icebox of Florida" because it has some of the coldest winter temperatures in the state. While average high temperatures from December to February are in the 60s, average lows drop into 30s. Plus, even though snow is rare, it does occasionally fall in the area. Since Crestview doesn't see the mild temperatures the rest of Florida typically gets in the winter, it's not as popular during this season. As a result, you can usually find some good hotel deals during these months.
Spring brings rising temperatures and slowly increasing hotel prices to Crestview. While average highs in March start out in the lower 70s, by May, they've climbed into the mid-80s. Because of these mild temperatures, spring is a popular time to visit the area, so you won't find hotel prices quite as low as what you see in the winter. However, prices won't start significantly climbing until the end of May.
