THE JUMEIRAH BEACH HOTEL CONFERENCE CENTRE Structure and Design The Conference centre is designed in the shape of a wooden Dhow – a traditional Arabic boat. The first purpose-built Conference Centre in Dubai. The steel framed building is timber clad at the top level and glass clad at the lower level. Floor areas Main Ballroom: 1332 sq. m (Ground floor level) Conferencing area: 1238 sq. m (first floor level) Access The building is accessible at ground level from the surface car parks and through the basement car parks. The ground floor is accessible from both North and South entrances, leading into a reception area with a bar and reception desk. Facilities • Ballroom • Banqueting • Exhibition • Theatre and stage • Modern conference facilities Ballroom and Banqueting Located on the Ground Floor and covering an area of 1332 sq. m, the Ballroom can accommodate the following facilities: • Conference seating for 1100 guests or Banquet Set up for 900 guests • International Congress Venue • Four separate areas with full exhibition equipment • Motorized projection screens, projection and lightning bars for visual effects • Each section contains separate sound system Conference Facilities Located on the first floor with a total area of 1238 sq. m • Equipped with a 416 seat theatre • Full audio-visual for videos and slide projection • Multi-lingual simultaneous translation • Full stage facilities for music and arts • Audience participation microphones The theatre is bordered on both sides by reception corridors, which can be open to the external walls or divided into 11 meeting rooms when required. A ‘Media Wall’ equipped with 3 international phone lines for international conferencing via TV link, is installed in one of the rooms. Internet Access The Ballroom and the Auditorium at the Conference & Banqueting Centre are equipped with Wireless Internet facilities. All Boardrooms at the first floor are offering “Plug & Play” High Speed Internet Access.
